Trick Or Treat Yo’ Self This Halloween

Posted by admin on October 1, 2020

It happens every year. October rolls around and I start scarfing down Halloween candy like it’s my job. But not this year. No, this year I found some tasty, guilt free fall treats that still get me in the mood for some wholesome Halloween fun. I liked all the treats so much that now I wanna share them with you.

If you’re anything like me, you love peanut butter. But instead of reaching for the sugary chocolate peanut butter cups, make yourself some ants on log. All you need is celery, peanut butter and either raisins or chocolate chips. It’s a creepy crawly Halloween treat without all the calories!

Maybe you’re not into peanut butter but still want a little chocolate. Try home-dipped chocolate covered strawberries. If you want to make them festive for the season, dip your strawberries in white chocolate and add little candy eyes on them to turn them into edible ghosts.

But chocolate covered strawberries aren’t the only edible monster you can make. Get a package of hotdogs, premade pastry dough and black olives. Cut the pastry dough into small strips and wrap it half-hazard around each hot dog. After they’re done baking, add two slivers of olive to each hotdog for eyes and you have savory Halloween mummies.

Now if making mummy hotdogs sounds a little too time consuming, you can always peal a clementine and add a small stub of celery to the top for sweet and easy mini pumpkin.

I hope you found a Halloween treat from this list you wanna give a try. And remember, if you want chocolate, eat chocolate! Halloween only comes around once a year.
